you are needed
Your Crosspoint Guardians are doing a great job protecting the church.
Our Primary Mission is the Great Commission.
The team supports that mission by working to provide a safe environment where you can meet and focus on your Worship, Discipleship and Fellowship.
Your Guardians are overworked, and we must increase the team. Currently the team serves both services every other Sunday. With Guardians having to serve every Sunday.
This is not sustainable.
We must double the team’s size. This will allow each Guardian to serve one Sunday every four Sundays. I am calling on each of you to consider the significant impact you can make by joining the Crosspoint Guardians. Your presence will not only ease the burden on our current members but also strengthen our church's ability to worship without concern. By having a robust team, we can ensure that every Guardian has the opportunity to worship and recharge, returning to their duties with renewed energy and spirit.
Imagine the peace of mind you'll provide to parents knowing their children are safe, the comfort to elderly members who can focus on their prayers, and the overall sense of security that allows everyone to fully engage in our spiritual activities. This calling is more than just a duty; it's a ministry in itself, a way to serve God and His people in a tangible, impactful manner.
If you feel the LORD nudging your heart, don't hesitate. Let's come together, strengthen our team, and continue to make Crosspoint a sanctuary where everyone feels safe to grow in their faith. Your involvement could be the difference between a strained team and a thriving one.
Whether you are a man or woman, a young adult or old, able bodied and not. If you are called, come and talk with me, I would love to share the vision the LORD has placed on me for your Crosspoint Guardians.
Please pray and listen and obey the LORD.

My Vision for the Crosspoint Guardians
I truly enjoy serving at Crosspoint Church with the Safety and Parking Teams. I believe this is God’s calling for myself and believe He has given me a vision for this ministry. Not only within Crosspoint Church but for the wider body of Christ here locally and beyond.
.I believe we at Crosspoint Church are in a unique position with the large number of Liberty University students that attend. As a result of the CSER obligation, these students are required to serve a non-profit. It is easy for the non-profits to use the students' service as a major source of the necessary support for the non-profit. The students can feel used and not continue to serve beyond the CSER obligation. At the same time, the regular church members may feel that they do not need to serve because the CSER students are fulfilling the ministry’s needs. Both situations are not developing disciples of Christ.
To address these challenges, we might consider implementing a Ministry Service Training Program at Crosspoint. This comprehensive program aims to introduce participants to all facets of ministry work, equipping them with the necessary skills and knowledge to support, operate, and run their chosen area of ministry.
Developing LU Students in Their Calling
Equipping for Service in the Body of Christ
Introduction
To develop LU students in their Calling is to prepare them comprehensively for their roles within the Body of Christ. Providing them with the understanding and training required for their specific Callings is essential for them to fully serve and contribute to the Church and the wider community upon graduation from Liberty University (LU).
Equipping Students for Their Calling
Students must gain a deep understanding of all aspects of their Calling and how it integrates into the Body of Christ.
The training should encompass:
•Spiritual Formation: Strengthening their faith and spiritual disciplines.
•Practical Skills: Providing hands-on experience in various ministry roles.
•Leadership Development: Cultivating leadership qualities and abilities.
•Community Engagement: Encouraging active participation and service in community projects.
The Role of Crosspoint Congregation
For this initiative to succeed, there must be a significant commitment from the Crosspoint congregation.
This involves:
Discipleship and Mentoring
Creating a culture of discipleship and mentoring within the congregation is vital. Experienced members can:
•Guide students in their spiritual growth and understanding of their Calling.
•Provide practical ministry training and opportunities.
•Encourage and support students in their faith journey.
Engagement and Service
A fully engaged local church body is crucial for this development.
The congregation can:
•Offer diverse ministry roles for students to serve and learn.
•Foster an environment where students feel valued and purposeful.
•Draw more members into active service through the example set by students.
Benefits to the Congregation
This initiative will not only benefit the students but also the Crosspoint congregation.
It will:
•Give Purpose: Provide the congregation with a clear purpose and focus on service.
•Strengthen Community: Build stronger relationships through mentoring and discipleship.
•Encourage Growth: Inspire more members to participate actively in church activities.
Conclusion
Developing LU students in their Calling is a collaborative effort that requires dedication and engagement from the entire Crosspoint congregation. By equipping students thoroughly and involving the church community in their development, we can ensure that they are ready to serve the Body of Christ effectively, thereby enriching both their lives and the life of the congregation.
